It’s that time of year when the day turns to night and holiday lights illuminate houses, driveways, parks and more. Mommies R Bomb.com was recently invited to experience Holiday Road Atlanta. This is a new holiday lights attraction here in Atlanta and might be your family’s new tradition. I like a walk through of Holiday lights, because it’s easy family fun, a good way to get into the holiday spirit and there isn’t any tokens, screens, or chaos of an indoor entertainment place. The kids were super excited to see the lights and hear the Christmas tunes and loved to point out their favorite lights.

About Holiday Road Atlanta

Holiday Road originated in Calabasas, CA in 2020. This year they expanded it to Georgia and Virginia. Holiday Road Atlanta is a half-mile outdoor lights spectacular at Horse Mansion at Bouckaert Farm in South Fulton County. There are 25 illuminated winter scenes, including the North Pole, an elf village, Christmas tree forest, reindeer stalls, light tunnels and more. There is music to go along with each scene as well. Bouckaert Farm is an 8,000 square foot equestrian, film and event venue. Films such as “Black Panther”, “Avengers: Endgame” and “Coming 2 America” have done production there. The Horse Mansion also a beautiful place to have a wedding. The kids were excited to find out that we were at “Wakanda“. Food trucks, a bar and plenty of clean restrooms are available as well.

Experiencing Holiday Road Atlanta

For us the trip to Holiday Road Atlanta was about 40 minutes. Fifteen of those minutes were along a dark road in the Chattahoochee Hills. There are no streetlights and not a lot of passing cars, so if your kids are a little scared of driving in the dark like mine I suggest playing some holiday music to make them not notice. The plus side of the darkness is that on a clear night you can see the stars so clearly. The hospitality and the kindness of the staff were topnotch the whole way through. When entering the attraction we see a very large Christmas tree, a countdown to Christmas clock and photo opportunities. We took a picture at the start of the trail and were on our way to “ooh, look at that!”, dancing and skipping and memories being made. We all really enjoyed it and I’m positive my kids want to go back. I think my favorite part was seeing the excitement on their faces.

Looking for something a little bit different than your local holiday lights, then this is it. Holiday Road Atlanta is open Thurs-Sun, rain or shine and open Christmas Eve and Day and New Year’s Eve and Day.
