Cookies are my favorite dessert, no matter what time of year it is. I love to eat cookies the most around a Christmas tree with hot chocolate and a good Christmas movie. It has been awhile since I have been to one, but I love a holiday cookie exchange. These holiday cookies are perfect with the season and are easy to make. I originally made these, and they were great. This time I switched it up with M&Ms. Check out the video below of how my kids and I made this delicious *dark red velvet M&M cookies.

The process can be a bit messy, but the kids had fun and it was great bonding with them. Max kept taking bites of the dough as we were rolling it into balls. The texture of them was kind of soft and chewy and almost a mix between a brownie and a cookie. I loved these holiday cookies and I will be making them again. Check out our reaction to the first bite.

As you can see these holiday cookies were a hit with the kids. I absolutely loved them too, Next time I think I might make them with peanut M&Ms or pecans. You can put in whatever add-ins you would like or just keep it plain. The full recipe is below.
