Dark Red Velvet M&M Cookies

How to make these delicious holiday cookies

Ingredients
  

  • cups All -purpose flour use a little over 1½, about a tablespoon more
  • ¾ cup Brown sugar
  • ¼ cup Granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup Cocoa powder
  • ½ cup Softened butter use your preference of salted or unsalted
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tbsp Milk I used unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • ½ tbsp Red food coloring you can use more or less
  • ½ cup Original M&Ms

Method
 

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt
  2. In a separate mixing bowl, mix butter until creamy
  3. Mix in both sugars to the butter until creamy
  4. Mix in the egg, vanilla extract, milk into the sugar butter mixture
  5. Combine the flour mixture and the butter mixture and add food coloring
  6. Mix until dough is formed and fold in the M&Ms
  7. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour and up to 2 days
  8. Preheat oven to 350° and line baking sheet with parchment paper
  9. Form dough into golf ball-sized balls and place on parchment paper an inch apart
  10. Bake for 11-12 minutes
  11. Let cool for 5 minutes, and enjoy
