Happy Fall Y’all! This is my favorite time of the year, the leaves are turning colors, UGA football is on Saturdays, we are getting ready for Halloween and Thanksgiving. I’m cooking chili and other comfort foods. Pumpkin spice everything and lots of festivals and outdoor activities to do with the family. Fall family fun in Atlanta means festivals, pumpkin patches, and fairs and more. Check out all of these events you can check out for the next two months. There are a few adult-only events listed as well.

Festivals and Fairs

Fall-O-Ween at Swift Cantrell Park in Kennesaw, October 15
Come in your costume and enjoy all the fall fun activities. There will be a candy trail, games, costume contest, scavenger hunt and much more. This is a FREE community event.

Georgia Apple Festival at Elijay Lions Club Fairgrounds, October 15
Bring the family to apple country in Elijay. Enjoy the parade, apple-themed activities, food vendors and lots of arts and crafts vendors.

Taste of Soul at Downtown Atlanta, October 15-16
This festival celebrates soul and southern food and is city wide, and includes concerts, delicious foods, cocktails, kid events and more. This is a FREE event for the community.

Fall Glow Festival at Lucky Shoals Park in Norcross, October 21
For families with kids 4-17, there will be trunk-or treating, hay rides and glow games. Come in your costume and bring your treat bag. Tickets are $10 per child, and parents are FREE.

Halloween Fun House at East Roswell Recreation Center, October 21
Families can bring their kids 8 in under dressed in costume and enjoy all the Halloween activities. There will be face painting, carnival games, hay rides and more. This is a FREE event.

The Great Pumpkin Fest at Cherokee Veterans Park, October 22
This FREE Fall family fun festival includes a live DJ, hayrides, axe throwing, costume contest, trick-or-treating, archery and much more. Wear your costumes and enjoy all the fun.

Little 5 Points Halloween Festival at Little 5 Points and Parade, October 22-23
Come out in your costume and participate in a monster scavenger hunt, listen to live music and watch the parade. All of Little 5 Points will be decorated in Halloween decor. This is a FREE Fall family fun event.

Little Monsters Bash at Colony Square, October 25
This Halloween festival will have a live DJ, costume characters, sweet treats, and spooky arts and crafts. This is a FREE fall fun event.

Hallow’s Eve Party at Colony Square, October 28
This is an adult’s only Halloween bash. That will have a live DJ, BOOzy drinks and more scary surprises. This is a FREE event.

Fall-O-Ween at The Home Depot Backyard, October 28-29
Festivities, food and fun for the whole family. 2 days of hay rides, trunk or treating, obstacle courses, giveaways, inflatables and all the fall fun activities you love. This is a FREE event, but you must RSVP.

Dia de los Muertos Festival at The Grounds at Roswell City Hall, October 29
Celebrate the traditional Mexican holiday celebrating and remembering lost loved ones with prayers for a safe spiritual journey. This is a community event that is FREE to the public.

Pumpkin Festival at Stone Mountain Park, now – October 30
Enjoy the attractions and fall entertainment during the day including pie eating contest, then after sunset enjoy how the park lights up and the night time parade, pumpkin laser show, and other glow in the dark experiences.

HarvestFest and Scarecrows in the Square at The Marietta Square, now- November 3
The Harvest Fest will be Oct. 15th and will have arts and crafts chow, pie eating and costume contest, and Halloween activities. You can see the original scarecrows throughout the month.

Fly Day at Atlanta Regional Airport, October 15
Kids can enjoy a 30 minute flight, face painting, aircrafts and more. Free admission but registration is required.

Kid Fit Strong Fitness Challenge at Piedmont Park, October 16
Let your kids show off their fitness in this family fun fitness challenge. There will be an obstacle course designed to challenge their skills. This is a FREE event, registration required.

Overtime Elite Opening Weekend at Overtime Elite Arena, October 20 -21
Come check out the premier basketball league that will help take players to the next level. They’ll be celebrity guests and giveaways as well. Arena located right outside Atlantic Station, tickets start at $17

Scary Movie Night at The Works, October 22
Come watch The Addams Family (animated version) set up under the stars and tree canopy. Hand spun cotton candy, popcorn and adult beverages will be available to purchase. This is a FREE event.

Kiddie Costume Party at Atlantic Station, October 22 and 29
Kids (and parents) can come dressed in their costume for this fun party. Attendees will enjoy games, activities, treats and more. Tickets are $15.

Come watch (my alma mater)The Georgia Bulldogs take on the Florida Gators. There will be rivalry swag, photo booths, drinks for purchase and of course the game on the big screen.

Xfinity Movie Series at The Battery, October 28, November 4 & 11
Get cozy in your lawn chairs and blankets on the green at The Battery. Enjoy movies like Snow White and the Huntsman, Shrek and Pitch Perfect. Families are welcome to bring food and drinks purchased from surrounding restaurants.

Cirque Du Soleil: Kurios Cabinet of Curiosities at Atlantic Station, now- December 24
If you have never seen a cirque show. This is a contemporary circus that produces world renowned shows. This Kurios show is about an inventor who defies the laws of time, space and dimension. This is great for the older kids in your family or a date night with your boo.

Space: A Journey to the Moon and Beyond at Illuminarium, now – December 31
Another immersive experience but this time in space. See Saturn’s rings up close, kick up moon dust and transport into the unknown.

This is a great Fall family fun event. Walk the gardens during the day and see the pumpkin sculptures and topiaries and after dark the gardens will light up. Enjoy glow-in-the-dark mini golf, an illuminating pumpkin tree and more. Tickets $19.95 and up, kids 2 and under free.

Tailgate Saturdays at College Football Hall of Fame, Saturdays Oct. 15 – Nov. 26
Cheer on your favorite team with live entertainment, prizes, games abd scavenger hunts. They’ll also play the live games on the big screens. Tickets $17.99 and up, 2 and under free.
