The kids will be out of school soon and will be looking to you for something to do. With the relaxation of COVID restrictions and more places opening up, more options are available. If you are not sending them to summer camp, and plan on doing things around the city, then this is the resource for you. Cinco De Mayo at Atlantic Station, May 5
Celebrate Mexican culture at this FREE event. There will be authentic salsa, mariachi music, dance lessons, Mexican games and more. All on the Atlantic Green. Fun for everyone
Screen on the Green at Atlantic Station, May 6 & 20, June 10 & 24
Bring your family out to enjoy a family friendly movie on the big screen on the Green. Bring your own snacks or enjoy take-out from one of the many restaurants. Check out site for the movies that are playing.
Picnic in the Garden at Hills & Dales Estate, May 8
Celebrate Mother’s Day in LaGrange with your family while enjoying a picnic. This free event includes pony rides, balloon animals, yard games and more. Just bring your picnic and blanket
Tot Spot at Atlantic Station, May 11 & June 8
Kids 5 and under can enjoy a dance party, story time, yoga, and more. Pre-packaged snacks will be available and plenty of social distance, plus it is FREE.
KIDFITSTRONG Fitness Challenge at Piedmont Park, May 22 Postponed to November 7
I am excited about this thing to do! Take your whole family out for a fun competition based obstacle course. Definitely a way to build memories. The best part is it is FREE!
Juneteenth Atlanta Parade & Music Festival at Centennial Olympic Park, June 18-20
Celebrate Black culture and freedom with various performances and Black owned businesses. There will be musical guests, fitness challenge, double dutch, children’s activities and more all for FREE.

Dunwoody Art Festival at Brook Run Park, May 8-9
Enjoy artisan booths, kids activities, food trucks and more. The festival was cancelled last year, but this year it is back, and vendors will also have the option to buy from them online.
Marietta Greek Festival at Holy Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church, May 14-16
To stay safe this festival will be a drive-thru experience. In the “Opa-to-go” drive thru, you can get a taste of Greek food, entertainment and culture all from the safety of your car
Chastain Park Arts Festival at Chastain Park, May 15-16
This festival is back for the 13th year. You and your family can enjoy various art vendors, kid’s play area, local food and acoustic musicians.
May Fair at Buford Corn Maze, now thru May 31
Get ready for corn mazes, pony rides, magic shows and more. Held on the weekends throughout Memorial Day.
The Georgia Renaissance Festival in Fairburn, now thru June 13
Hear ye hear ye, all are welcome to the Renaissance Festival. On the weekends, enjoy jousting tournaments, games and rides, food and more.

Family Zoo Yoga at Zoo Atlanta, May 8
Hang out in the new Savanna area by the elephants and do moves like you are one. Learn more about these wonderful beings as you learn how to do poses like them. Additional fee with admission
Robots Day at Fernbank Museum, May 8
Bring your family to the ultimate meet and greet of robots. Activities include Lego building and creation, up close with droids, robot bingo and more.
Family Art Escapes at High Museum, May 8
Get creative with your family and make your own masterpiece. Great for kids age 6-12. May’s theme is Fantastic Flowers
The Pigeon Comes to Atlanta, A Mo Willems Exhibit at Children’s Museum of Atlanta now thru May 9
Author, Mo Willems, best known for Don’t Let The Pigeon Drive The Bus, book characters are coming to The Children’s Museum. Kids can enjoy wearing a bus and drive around the exhibit, launch foam hot dogs at the pigeon and more fun activities.
Aladdin at Infinite Energy Center, May 14- 16
If you are missing live shows, this is your chance. See the Northeast Atlanta Ballet perform the classic story of Aladdin. A show for the whole family. Tickets start at $25.
National Astronomy Day at Tellus Science Museum, May 15
NASA is sponsoring space activities that include sun-gazing through a solar telescope, giveaways, planetarium shows and more.
Adventure Cubs at Zoo Atlanta, May 18, June 5 & 15
Kids 5 and under can learn all about an animal in the zoo with engaging activities. There will be a different theme every month and registration includes zoo admission.
Spring Scramble Scavenger Hunt at Historic Oakland Cemetery, now thru May 31
Get your family and friends together for a self-guided scavenger hunt. There are three different skill levels you can choose from. All proceeds go to restore and preserve the cemetery
Thomas Edison’s Secret Lab at Children’s Museum of Atlanta, May 22- Sept 7
Bring your kids to explore Thomas Edison’s lab. They will engage in STEM activities, that are hands-on and fun. This is a great thing to do to get their imagination going.
Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience at Pullman Yards, May 19- November 15
Experience Van Gogh’s paintings like never before. This immersive experience is great for all ages. It is a 20,000 square foot light and sound show featuring projections of the artist’s most famed work. Some thing to do that is out of the box.
Memorial Day Weekend at Stone Mountain Park, May 28-31
Celebrate and honor the members that have served our country.. With this 4 day events enjoy the attractions, fireworks and Laser show spectacular.
Garden Grooves at Atlanta Botanical Gardens, Thursdays, now- October
Looking for some thing to do that is creative? Check out this music program for kids 2-5 where they can dance and play instruments. Under the Great lawn, free with admission and all supplies provided.
