Christmas is only a few days away. Now that the shipping deadlines have passed, you are more than likely going to stores for in-person or pick up. I like to save the stockings stuffers last, because they are usually not planned or listed. This is why I love money saving stores like Five Below and Dollar Tree. I can find stocking stuffer gifts and be in and out. Also I like to browse the holiday aisle at the grocery store and I can find inexpensive toys and items. If you still have those last few items to scratch off your list, here are a few ideas that your kids and you will like.
Masks: Now that we have been living in this pandemic, it is harder to keep your kids at home. Masks are great stocking stuffers that you know will get used. The designs range from characters to cool designs, disposable ones are good too.
Hand sanitizer: Like the masks, hand sanitizer is a necessity, especially for kids that don’t wash their hands for 20 seconds. Get the kind that clips to the backpack, so it is handy while they are at school.
Blue light glasses: Our kids are on screens all the time, the blue light glasses will protect their eyes and help if they are experiencing headaches. I got Mila and Maxwell both a pair.
Activity book: When the kids are not on screens they could enjoy a coloring book or magazine instead. Easy stocking stuffer under $5.
Crayons: To go along with the activity book a new box of crayons, markers or gel pens.
Pocket tissue: It seems like my kid’s noses are always running or they have sticky stuff on their face. Pocket face wipes and tissue is a stocking stuffer that helps the germs stay away.
Sidewalk chalk: A simple stocking stuffer that can be loved for kids of all ages.
Play-Doh/Slime: I have made it known that I am not a fan of Play-Doh or Slime and I hope my kids don’t get those as gifts. But if you are okay with it, I think its good, because kids do love it.
Temporary tattoos: My kids have received temporary tattoos and stickers in their goody bags after birthday parties. They are easy to put on and remove.
Hair accessories: Hair bows, combs and brushes are good stocking stuffers because you know they will be needed and used
Underwear: These and socks are essential items, why not put them in the stocking. To make it more exciting get the one with their favorite characters.
Bath bombs: My daughter really loves bath bombs and they make them safe for kids.
Bath toys: If they are too young for bath bombs, what about a bath toy? A rubber duck or small boat is a good fit for the stocking.
Toiletries: I love making essential items into stocking stuffers. Toothbrushes, loofas and bubble bath are just a few that you can supply.
Chapstick: It’s that time of the year when we all have chapped lips. Get a little kid-friendly thing of lip balm for them to have their own.
Card games: Uno, Go Fish and Old Maid are just a few of the card games that kids can play. The cards don’t cost that much either
Small toy cars: I think most toddlers are kids like small cars like Hot Wheels. These stocking stuffers are a small toy that they can add to the collection
Unique toy balls: I found these glow in the dark small toy balls from Dollar Tree and I think they will be fun. They might not last long, but they will be worth the time the kids do play with it.
Gloves/ Scarves: Winter season essentials that are easy to fold up and put in the stocking
Sleep masks: This stocking stuffer might be best for the little girl in your life, she can definitely get her beauty rest in this.
Cash: If you really do not want to hit the store then give your kids cash. I suggest keeping it small, like five $1 bills.
Candy: My parents would always put candy in my stocking and this is a tradition I will continue, because I want some too.
Nail Polish: Again this stocking stuffer is for your little princess, but nail polish doesn’t discriminate.
Crazy straw: I always see these at the Dollar Tree, they have holiday ones or cool ones that loop and spin and even glow in the dark.
App gift card: Kids are always downloading apps, get a Google Play or iTunes gift card for them to download a premium app.
